Well...

Hey. Hello. Hi. Hola. Howdy. Holler. Wassup.
We had our grand opening on Saturday. Let me just tell ya, it was CRAZY.
I was honestly shocked at how messy people were!
What is it about "free yogurt and toppings" that makes people go psycho?
The floor was trashed, the toppings were getting mixed, and people were grumpy.
Managing a froyo joint...it's a hard life.
JK I love it, I'm just happy that day is ova.

My Feller might be able to visit this weekend.
I'm pretty upset that it's only Monday because that means I still have 4 days.
I'm usually a ppp {pretty-patient-person} but not when it comes to getting my husband back.
He needs to get here NOW!
Or at least before I turn all free-froyo-psycho on ya'll.

Did anyone else watch the Bachelorette?
I did. Well I watched 3 of the last 4 episodes, but that was enough to make me fall for Jef.
Good thing the beautiful Emily chose him!
My next goal in life is to make Jon dress like the Utahn stallion without making it too obvious.
That boy has got some serious style!
And  I know his hair is fantastic, but I guess I won't push it too far. Jon, you can keep your mane.

I went to my Grandpa's 80th birthday tonight.
It was like a little family reunion, I quite enjoyed seeing some of my cousins that I haven't seen in 11 years. Yes 11. I know it's ridiculous.
Anyway, my grandpa is one gooood looking eighty year old! I surely hope I got his great genes, he doesn't look a day over 65 to me.
I have so many fun memories with my grandpa. We used to live just across the creek from him and grandma so I was over there playing with my cousins ALL THE TIME. {My poor grandma, she probably hoped to be done raising kids at that point! We were little terrors.}
Just some of my favorite memories:
Playing giddy-up on grandpa's lap
Gramps helping me with math. I have loved math ever since he gave me some knowledge.
Walking over each Sunday for church and {amazing} dinner
TONS of sleepovers
Halloween parties, the haunted forest
Trips to Carl's Jr for the star nuggets
Riding the ATV's
 Looking through old photo albums
Putting on dances and plays with the cousins, I can't believe our grandparent's actually sat through all of them!
Ginger-ale and crackers when I was sick
Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat
Grandpa sharing his Dr Pepper with me because I somehow convinced him it helped me fall asleep :)
Telling them they weren't "old geezers" until they turned 80. {I think I'll change that to 90 now}
..and so many more. I definitely miss being a kid and Grandma and Grandpa's house,
I'm so blessed to have had them as examples of hard work, love and faith.
Happy birthday Gramps!

I hope everyone is taking advantage of family time, especially after what has happened in Colorado this past week.
I cannot stop thinking about it.
It makes me so grateful for each day I have to live with so many wonderful people in my life.
Here's to hoping I stop taking things for granted.

ps. If you want to make a child's WORLD, do the spider on a swing with them.
You won't regret it.

Once Upon a Time

We celebrated my mom's 50th birthday! It was a lot of fun getting together with family for the day.
Mom and I met my gma at City Creek and had lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe.
My advice? DON'T go there on the weekend. Unless you are okay with tons of people that don't walk very fast.
Later that evening mom and her kids {minus Tia} had dinner at Cucina Toscana {I think that's what it's called..}
It was nothing short of delicious! And to top it off, my gpa from Washington flew in to surprise the birthday girl :)
I'm so grateful for you, mom! Thanks for being the one who calls me more than anyone else, even though I'm horrible at answering the phone. Thanks for loving me unconditionally and always reminding me how lucky I am. Thanks for helping me still feel like a kid at times. Thanks for being at events that were important to me while I was growing up. Thanks for always believing in me. And thanks for buying kfc in St George 5 years ago and sharing it with my feller {haha}
You.da.best.

Ps. if you haven't seen the show Once Upon a Time on abc...you're most definitely missing out.

look what i found...

in my post list! I remember I couldn't get the photo to upload so I thought I'd come back to it later.
like I said...not doing so great with the birthday posts! this one is from December.

Happy Birthday Dee Dee!
She's the cute one in orange.
We became family when I was 10, and she has been wonderful ever since!
Known for her yummy meals she likes to call "goolosh" {not sure how to spell}, I have a lot to learn!
We were in California during Dee Dee's birthday, so we weren't able to see her, but we're so excited to spend Christmas with her and the fam! She makes the Christmas season so special, bringing the true meaning into our activities.
If you ever need a lesson on good housekeeping, creative cooking, mothering lots of children, home decorating, or positive thinking...Dee Dee is your go-to.
Thanks for being there for me for all these years, teaching me so much and keeping life fun!
Happy Birthday!

Role Model

That's what I'd call my sister, Stacie. Not only is she someone I admire, but she's gorgeous!
{like a model...get it?}
Stacie just had a birthday on the 19th. She's 24!
She and her hubby Devin are living in Virginia with their two little boys,
where Devin is attending dental school.
Two more years? Is that right?
I miss them so much, it's been over a year since we've been together. WAY too long!
I'm so grateful for the memories I have from growing up with Stacie.
Over the years of living together we developed this great bond and were able to talk about everything.
Stacie is kind to everyone, she cares about what is happening in your life and is always willing to listen.
She is strong, hard working, out going, a good friend, and one heck of a mom!
Stacie I hope your birthday was wonderful! I miss you
Going to a dance in high school. She was the only one that could fit in that dress, I loved it!
In lake powell, we love Devin!
Beautiful bride
The fam.
Told ya...model!

17 again

I'm not doing so awesome with these birthday posts, just need to get more in the habit I guess.
My not so little brother Paul turned 17 on the 11th.
Looking through pictures, all I seem to find are images of "Little Paul." Blonde hair, big blue eyes, innocence... it's still all there, but there's NO way he could go by "Little Paul" ever again!
Paul is such a fun brother.
Whenever we go home he wants to hang out and spend as much time with us as he can.
He always tells us he misses us and that we need to come visit more...
Even if we're down there multiple times a month.
Paul got in a really bad moto accident this past Fall, was confined to a wheel chair for months, needed to be home-schooled, and couldn't do much more than play video games {every boys dream, right?} well, he was determined to get back to school and into the swing of things. And he did it! He didn't let his accident hold him back. Good work!
Paul I'm so happy to have you as a brother and love watching you grow into a man. I can't believe you are 17. I feel like that's when my life started. What an unforgettable age. Make it special!
I can't wait to see what the future holds for you! Happy birthday!
Jumping the cliffs in Heaven on Earth. aka Lake Powell.
 Don't mind me.
Helping me move up to school. Oh they were so little :)
In the hospital after the accident. Still smiling!
Girls...if you have any little sista's in high school, he's single!
(or so he says...haha)

I'm a week late...

...wishing my bro Ty Ty a happy 25th birthday!
Wow, a whopping 2-5. You're old, dude. ;)
Ty has always been the best big brother I could have ever asked for. I remember being on the bus in junior high and asking all the kids older than me if they knew who Tyler Christiansen was,
cause he's MY big brother.
He's funny, no no- WAaaaAY funny!
He's smart.
He's good looking.
He always has a new pair of shoes on {maybe he has stinky feet, too?}
He's well groomed.
He's caring.
He's giving.
Did I mention he's funny?
and I love him.
Thanks for practicing your WWF wrestling moves on me when we were kids. Thanks for the random phone calls to see what's up. Thanks for always giving a hug hello and goodbye. Thanks for going to a high school dance with me when you were a super senior. Thanks for being a good brother.
Happy belated birthday, you old fart!

H is for Happy.

And Heidi! Today is my sista' Heidi's birthday. She's a whopping twenty-two! I'm grateful to have a little sister (by two months) that has so much knowledge to share with everyone. If I have any questions or problems I know I can turn to Hyde and she will help me out! She and the hubs are moving away to med school this coming Summer/Fall, and it's gonna be WEIRD. My girls need to stop leaving me!
Love you Heidi! Hope rolling into your twenty second year of life was rockin'!
{my computer is being lame and won't let me post a funny picture on Heidi's 18th birthday. dangit.}

30 Flirty and Thriving

Happy Birthday to my awesome big sis, Brittany!
I love you, Britt! Thanks for always being there,
 knowing just what to say.
I'm so lucky to have you as a sister and bff.
I know I can turn to you anytime. You've always been there!
You are the bomb.com.
Don't worry, you're only 1/3 of the way to "old".
:) Love you!
ps...All the time!!!

Ceeelebration Time, Come on!

We decided last night that we LOVE the placement of our birthdays. It's lots of fun to have them 2 weeks apart, and there aren't any other Holidays too close. Being "newlyweds", money is tight. You all know what I mean, right? Well somehow we managed to OVER-spoil each other this year. I don't know, maybe we were just so excited to celebrate our birthdays together once again! {since we had 2 years of them apart...} My bday was Sept 26th. I had class and work, and came home to a lovely surprise from my hubby. He was sitting by the door waiting for me with flowers, chocolate {awww...;)} and SICK a gift! {mmhmm, sick!}
Theeese bad boys! I've been in need of new running shoes for about 3 years, so I'm simply in love.
Jono had to go to a lab for a couple of hours after that, so I had the pleasure of going out for frozen yogurt with my lovely friend Val. She surprised me with a cute striped shirt {love my stripes!} and some goodies that I so dearly love {coca cola, orange candy slices, etc} Thanks ValPal!
Earlier I had told Jon I might want to go to a movie, mainly because I wanted their popcorn and fountain coca cola. Mmm. Guess what he did? Brought the movies to our home!
Thanks baby boy! I'm thinkin' this will be how I'll want to celebrate every year :)
Jame and Jord even stopped by, even though they were feeling sick. It was so nice of them, they brought us brownies :) All time favorite.
It was so fun hearing from and seeing lots of family and friends.
Thanks you guys! I love you!
The Wednesday following my 22nd, Jon surprised me once more with a trip down to Salt Lake to see Miss Taylor Swift! We had such a blast. We definitely looked a little out of place amidst all the little girlies and their moms, but don't worry..we still sang ;)
HAWT. he's the best!
 Thanks JonnyB!
 You are the best thing that's ever been Miiine! {too cliche?}
 She was wonderful
Thank you so much for making my birthday so special, Captain!

We also got to celebrate with our families the Sunday's before and after. My mom hosted a party with steaks and taco salad-the foods of my soul! It was so fun to spend time with mom, Britt, Nick, little Ave, Ty, and Jon. I missed Tia a lot, and hope she is doing okay.
We all kind of failed at taking pictures, but I did happen to get one of the cake.
These are the earrings Avery gave me. I was graced with some shoes, some jewelry, and mula to get ma' hair done.
Thanks you guys for thinking of me, you are the bombs.com!

Jon's family holds a monthly birthday celebration, because there are SO many peeps in the fam it would probably be close to impossible to celebrate each and every one individually. We got together with all the siblings that live in Utah and had a yummy dinner and dessert over conference weekend. Jon and I got Target giftcards, holla! I love Target. I little tooo much!
Thank you for being so good to us, we love you!

We also were able to stop by my dad and Dee dee's home before heading back to Logania. I received an Itunes giftcard AND and Outback steakhouse card as well! Thank you! And for Jon's bday they got him a desk for his music equipment {he doesn't know yet, so luckliy he doesn't really read this blog.}So awesome!
It was really good to see all of our family in such a short time. We are blessed!

This past Sunday we got to hang out with Mindi and Dave. We love having them up here in Logan! after their cute girls were all in bed, we painted a pumpkin that was going to be entered into a contest between all the dental offices here in Cache Valley. Check it out!:
It's Jack Skelington with braces! It took a while to make, but we had fun. And cookies :) Dave and Mindi also gave us bday giftcards to Buckle and Pacsun. Oh yeeeah! Thanks Gordons!

Yes, we were spoiled. What the heck? I thought getting married was the death of birthday gifts!

Ok so in my last post I mentioned that it was Jon's birthday. Well about a week ago Jon said he thought he knew what his present was {my bad for having it wrapped up on the living room floor}. He guessed right on, so I tried "lying" and said 'Nope! Guess again...' But I had this huge grin on my face so it was way obvious I was lying. He fell for it, but I let him open it anyway, haha.
Its-aWii! He's been saying how we should get one since day one of our marriage {kind of..} So I impulsively {oops!} got him one! I think it was worth it, he's spent some time playing on it already. Weee!
So this Tuesday, his day of birth, he had work and class til 8. I met him afterward for some grub at Texas Roadhouse, one of our favorites.
Then we went home and Jon opened the last of his gifts. He pretty much already knew what it was...
But thanks for acting semi-surprised :) It's a microphone! Now he can record all of his new stuff, which I'm hoping I can share with you guys one day.
After all the rolls and steak from Roadhouse we were a little too stuffed to eat any cake, so we just had some of Jon's favorite drink.
It's Sprite with lemons and limes squeezed into it! You should try.
So-fresh-and-so-gooood! ;)
We watched the movie Hanna. Have you seen it? Kind of odd...yet good...
not so sure how we feel about it.
The next day, guess what we did? We ate cake!
Haha, he's such a nerd sometimes :) I love it.

I can't wait to celebrate birthdays each year and create traditions for our little family. I love Jon more and more each day, he is such a beautiful person inside and out. I love our history and the fact that we get to create our future together. It's so fun being young and in love.
I think it will always feel like this :)

Well, time to go to bed and prepare for school and work tomorrow. The routine ;)
Sweet dreams!
PS- if you learned anything from this...was it that we love steak??

Birthday Boyyy

Today is Jono's birthday, wahoo!! I always thought birthdays wouldn't be AS cool as they were when we were little. Being in school and having a set work schedule doesn't change just because you were born that day. BUT, I loved my birthday this year! After all the daily responsibilities, Jon made my day special. (I'll post about it lata.) And now hopefully I can do the same for him!
I love you Fell, you are so good to me! I've loved our journey together so far, and can't wait to grow old together. We were made for each other, I just know it.

Our laptop crashed, so no big posts for a little while.
Hopefully we'll be up and running {and blogging} again very soon!

(Kind of)Twins

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (yesterday) to my sister, Heidi!

Heidi is almost exactly 2 months younger than I am. We have grown up together since age 10, in fifth grade. We are so different yet so much alike, I love it!

Heidi is one of the smartest, most spiritual, happiest ladies I know. She has always been a huge example to me. She is graduating from BYU-Idaho as a Nurse in less than a month...HOLY COW! (Are we that old?) No, Heid is just dang smart and knew what she was doing from day one and kept her head in the game, unlike some of us. Or me. I'm pretty jealous if you couldn't tell.

Our unintentional matching swimsuits :)

Heidi got married in May to her lover boy, Ty. They are so much fun to be around, but TOO much time with them just makes me want to get married myself! Good thing they live in Idaho ;)

I have so many great memories with Heidi. The first time I met her we went to church and wore the funniest clothes and hairstyles. Hilariously awkward late-nighters, sometimes with a friend sleeping over (haha). Lake Powell Trips, skinny dipping...shh, don't judge. Birthday concerts full of Celine Dion and Faith Hill. Being asked if we were twins for years after we decided to wear the exact same outfit on our first day at a new school. Senior trip to Cali! Parmesan Chicken. Caramel Popcorn. French Toast. Her banana cookies. Well, I guess I like food (?)

Heidi I am so grateful to have you as a sister. Pretty sure YOU should be the older one! Thank you for all of your advice, you are so wise. I'm so lucky to have you in my life.

I was always slightly jealous of all the twins in the world. Guess what, we're kind of twins :)
Envy us.

Love you Heid!
